SolGrid, Inc. seeks to establish funding of it’s new land protocol — BoxLand, a platform which seeks to turn traditionally highly illiquid markets such as land, into an asset that’s able to be split apart into slices or parcels, and allow ownership to live on the blockchain, using a proprietary legal framework that will empower customers in the United States to be able to buy and sell land, legally, and at the speed of the blockchain.
The technology portion of the project will include a website that will be the portal for all sales and documents for a user. The platform will include KYC to properly authorize and conduct transactions, and seeks to develop automated tax documentation within the application for a fiscal year.
The first land sale we’d like to conduct is for a multi-acre property in Wyoming which we would need the funding for, so we could divide it into parcels that will be auctioned off to generate a first wave of hype in the news cycle, and hopefully establish headlines across the world.
Regarding the question of security, all land will be cryptographically connected to the account used to purchase it, and have a queryable functions on all information associated with it, actual ownership is still owned by the user, and the payment can be processed on-chain, and optionally a mint-able NFT token, as a badge of verifiable proof, but ownership that does not reside on the blockchain.
Not only do we intend on providing access to land, but eventually commercial and traditional housing — all conducted through our secure platform. At a certain point we would also like to introduce a service that allows investors to have a managed portfolio of properties that would allow users to invest into a range.
A 4.5% sales fee will be applied to all purchases plus any applicable taxes and filing fees, which will allow this protocol to be much more efficient than traditional real estate transactions.
A raise of $500,000 is needed to kickstart, as building the platform currently is currently self funded by the team.
